These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the LingoPaws mobile application, the website at lingopaws.com, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use LingoPaws. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age or parental consent, you may use the Service only after those requirements are satisfied. You must provide accurate account information and keep access to your sign-in provider secure.
2. The Learning Service
LingoPaws provides vocabulary learning, review scheduling, memory practice, word games, progress history, streaks, rankings, and related features. Plans and review timing may adapt to your onboarding choices, activity, and learning ratings.
Learning results vary. LingoPaws does not guarantee fluency, examination results, employment outcomes, or any particular educational result. The Service is a learning aid and is not professional educational, medical, legal, or financial advice.
3. Accounts and Courses
Your account may contain profile, course, study, game, ranking, and subscription state. Free and Premium accounts may have different course and usage limits as shown in the app. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
You may delete your account through the in-app account controls. After the required confirmation, LingoPaws initiates immediate deletion of the account and account-owned server data, subject only to records that must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or transaction-integrity obligations. Signing in again after deletion creates a new LingoPaws account.
4. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Billing
Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple’s App Store. Available plans, localized prices, billing periods, benefits, and trial eligibility are displayed by Apple before purchase.
Where Apple confirms eligibility, a plan may include one seven-day free trial. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple for the relevant subscription group and App Store account. At the end of the trial, the subscription automatically renews at the displayed price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current trial or billing period, subject to Apple’s applicable terms and regional rules.
Payment is charged to the App Store account used to confirm the purchase. Apple may charge the renewal price to that account during the 24 hours before the end of the current trial or billing period. You can manage or cancel the subscription in Apple account subscription settings. Deleting your LingoPaws account or uninstalling the app does not itself cancel an App Store subscription.
Restore Purchases asks Apple to synchronize eligible purchases for the current App Store account. LingoPaws verifies transaction evidence before enabling Premium benefits. Refunds, billing failures, family sharing, trial eligibility, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Apple’s applicable policies and the mandatory law where you live.
Your license to use the iOS application is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a custom license agreement is displayed for LingoPaws in the App Store. These Terms govern the LingoPaws Service and supplement, rather than replace, Apple’s applicable platform terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- break, bypass, or interfere with authentication, subscription verification, quotas, game integrity, rankings, or security controls;
- access another person’s account or impersonate another person;
- use automation, exploits, modified clients, or fabricated requests to manipulate learning records, game results, stars, streaks, or rankings;
- copy, scrape, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service or its content except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- upload, transmit, or use the Service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, or infringing activity; or
- disrupt the Service or impose unreasonable load on its infrastructure.
We may limit or suspend access reasonably necessary to investigate or stop abuse, security threats, fraud, or violations of these Terms. We will apply mandatory consumer protections and notice requirements that apply where you live.
6. Rankings, Friends, and Public Profile Content
If you use Rankings or friend features, your chosen display name, preset avatar, language scope, rank, and engagement score may be visible to other users as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not use a display name that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, sexually explicit, or that impersonates another person or LingoPaws staff.
LingoPaws may reject, hide, or remove public profile content and may limit related social features when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms or protect users. You can block another user through available in-app controls. To report offensive public profile content or abusive behavior, contact aaronchen667@gmail.com with enough information for us to investigate; do not send passwords, payment-card details, or Apple transaction credentials.
7. Intellectual Property
LingoPaws, its software, interface, branding, original learning materials, game systems, and related content are owned by or licensed to the operator of LingoPaws and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
Third-party names, marks, content, and platform services remain the property of their respective owners. No ownership rights transfer to you.
8. Service Changes and Availability
We may improve, add, remove, or change features when reasonably necessary for product development, security, legal compliance, or service operation. We aim to preserve account and learning integrity, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Some features require an internet connection, supported content, Apple services, or other third-party services.
9. Disclaimers and Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as available" basis without promises beyond those expressly stated in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, consumer rights, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of LingoPaws is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law, or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or personal injury where applicable.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security, or business practices. We will make the current version available in the app and on lingopaws.com and, when required, provide additional notice. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

These Terms do not select a fixed court or governing jurisdiction. The mandatory laws, consumer protections, dispute rights, and courts available in the place where you live remain unaffected to the extent they cannot be waived by contract.
